Yeva Borys '26

Accomplishments: Yeva has been recognized as a 2026 NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) High School Award - Ohio Honorable Mention. This national program, led by the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT), honors students for their achievements, leadership and aspirations in computing and technology. 
“Receiving Ohio Honorable Mention in the NCWIT program brings me a sense of accomplishment and recognition throughout a community of like minded women,” Yeva shared. “I am thrilled to take a step closer to my dream career and goals through this program.” 
 
Yeva is also a member of Construction Academy, giving her a deeper dive in the construction behind creating the Academy’s new addition. “I wanted to participate in the Construction Academy program because I wanted to get a better understanding of how a large project like that is managed and how people in different fields of engineering come together to accomplish this task,” Yeva shared. “I also wanted to learn what advancements modern applications have brought to make the construction more efficient.”

Activities and Interests: In addition to Construction Academy, at Saint Joseph Academy, Yeva is a member of the Asian Culture Club, Calliope, the Engineering & Design Honors Program and Robotics Club.
 
What is your favorite part about being a member of the Saint Joseph Academy community?: Yeva shared the following, “My favorite part of being a member of the Saint Joseph Academy community is to observe how freedom of career explorations fuels everyone’s individual passions and allows them to bond through shared experiences.”
 
Future Career Plans: In the fall, Yeva will be attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida to study Computer Engineering.
