Accomplishments: Christiana is a member of the Global Scholars Program.
Christiana became a member of the program during her Junior year. “I wanted to join the Global Scholars Program because I wanted to expand my knowledge and hands-on learning experience of the global world,” Christiana shared. “I have found that there have been many invaluable learning opportunities in the cohort meetings and out in the community.”
During her Senior year, Christiana took an independent study with the program. As part of the independent study, Christiana worked with OneHope NEO to implement healthy initiatives among young people such as a healthy food planting event with children and a cooking class with teenagers. “These plans are influenced by my personal experience of possessing a passionate sense of planting and cooking at home,” Christiana shared.
Activities and Interests: In addition to being a member of the Global Scholars Program, at Saint Joseph Academy, Christiana is a leadership member of the Asian Culture Club, the Calliope Photography Editor and board member, a member of the Cooking Club, Knit/Crochet Club, National Honor Society and a SJA Community Builders team member. Christiana has also been a student counselor for the Academy’s Photography Summer Camps.
What is your favorite part about being a member of the Saint Joseph Academy community?: Christiana shared the following, “Over the past four years, I have witnessed such an incredible community of students and faculty who have supported one another through every school milestone and event. It is truly an unforgettable experience that I have had the pleasure of being a part of.”
Future Career Plans: Christiana will be attending John Carroll University in the fall, majoring in International Business and a minor in Sociology.
