In February, alumna Annmarie Brady ’16 ventured to the charming city of Las Cruces, New Mexico, seeking new experiences and adventures. As she strolled through the vibrant local farmer's market, she proudly donned a sweatshirt from her collegiate alma mater, The Ohio State University.
As fate would have it, Annmarie's Buckeye spirit caught the attention of two fellow shoppers who were waiting in line. Noticing her sweatshirt, the women struck up a conversation, revealing that they too hailed from the state of Ohio. Soon they discovered they had more than just Ohio in common.
To Annmarie's delight, the two strangers she had just met turned out to be fellow alumnae of Saint Joseph Academy - Donna Bass-Mihalco ’85 and Eileen Zint Dorton ’85. As their conversation flowed, they uncovered a web of connections and shared experiences that made their chance encounter feel like a long-awaited reunion.
For Annmarie, Donna and Eileen, this meeting was a heartwarming reminder of the unbreakable sisterhood that connects alumnae, even across miles and through time. If you have similar stories to this that you’d like to share, submit your exciting information here.
