Stop the Hate® Youth Speak Out Essay Contest Winners
Congratulations to Zoë Schmidt '24, who took home the grand prize of a $20,000 scholarship and $5,000 anti-bias education grant for the Academy, and Abaeny Dek '24, who was awarded an honorable mention with a $1,000 cash prize and $500 grant for the Academy in the Maltz Museum’s 2024 Stop the Hate® Youth Speak Out Essay Contest.
Over 4,600 students from more than 100 Northeast Ohio schools participated in the contest and workshops this year, writing individual essays, poetry or group songs.
